How to Survive a Long Trip: Several Simple Tips on Landing Gracefully

Before you get to Oz, you need to go through the yellow brick road. In other words, before you get to your dream vacation spot, you have to go through the longest flight- ever!

Aside from the jetlag, this is going to be a killer. But hey, don’t worry; there are some things that you can do to avoid the ever possible flight ennui! Prepare your own thrill.

This is supposed to be one of the things that you should prepare for. Apart from the flight preparations that you need to consider- and you should do this big time, you should also prepare for that long flight.

Believe me; it’s going to be irritable. If you come unprepared, you are going to have one unforgettable experience, especially if you can’t sleep your way through it.

Five Travel Insights Over the Years

I have been travelling for quite some time now, and I have to say all of my travels have taught me lessons I never thought I’d learn outside my home. My travels required me to deal with people, extend my patience, appreciate exotic things, learn different cultures, and even deal with inconveniences. But I have learned so much, and this time, I want to share with you several of them.

In your travels, you will have your share of lessons. I don’t want you to learn the same things I did. You will have different experiences, so you will also learn different things.

There are, after all, several beautiful things about travelling aside from the beautiful places that you see and different people you meet. You will also learn good lessons along the way.

How to Survive an Inconvenience- Less Travelling: A Before and During Travel Tips and Reminders

Okay, so I may have already spent tons of time (and money) travelling. Once or twice I’ve forgotten to bring items essential or nonessential. Good thing I never did forget nor leave my passport and other travel documents anywhere. However, I did have my ups and downs. I’ve drawn a silver lining for those bad experiences, though. I call them: the things that put colour to my escapades!

There are many things to expect when you already get to a new country, or even continent. You’ll encounter several good -and not so good- stuff along the way. Alas! I did; a lot of them. Let’s just say that on my travels, I knew exactly what to bring, but did I bring too much? Yes.

So, let’s narrow down all the things that you can bring and you cannot bring, okay?

Top 5 Things That Make the Best Travels

Travelling is fun, fun, fun! Given that you know what to do, that is. We travel to have fun; not to worry. Worries are a result to being unprepared. To give you a heads up on the things that you need to bring, you can see one of our previous posts, Essentials in You Need WhenTravelling Overseas. For first timers, that may have been too helpful, but for backpackers, a little refresher won’t hurt.

When you travel to enjoy the different cultures, people, and views, how do you make the best of it? Do you simply visit the places you’re supposed to visit just because they are in the itinerary? I dare myself to go a little further than that when I step into a different country.

It is the effort of how much you immerse in the culture of your current location that matters most. When you decide to visit a lake, you won’t appreciate it unless you try how your skin feels when it touches the water- metaphorically speaking. That’s why all my travels (for the sake of vacation and a sense of getaway) are all memorable and worth it!
